Dealer Serving Los Angeles Toyota Shoppers Announces Toyota Among Least Stolen Vehicles

Carson Toyota, a leading dealer serving Los Angeles Toyota customers, announces that a recent Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI) study found Toyota to be among the least stolen vehicles on the road.

Toyota had three models in the top ten for fewest insurance claims for stolen vehicles: the Prius Hybrid, Tacoma 4×4 Double Cab pickup truck and Sienna all-wheel-drive van.

“Toyota represents safety, reliability and peace of mind,” said Carson Toyota’s General Manager, Marty Brylski. “This study further proves Toyota’s commitment for providing advanced safety features and anti-theft technologies.”

The top ten vehicles have overall theft losses of less than 15 percent of the average claims. The overall theft losses take into account not only the rate at which insurance claims are filed, but also the size of the payments for claims.

The HLDI, an affiliate of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, published the findings covering insurance theft losses for 2007-09 passenger vehicles.
