Diamond Honda of Glendale, CA, a Los Angeles-area Honda Dealer, wrote up a sales guy today. The incident in question revolves around the shipment of new 2011 Honda Civics.
Mr. Erickson, Diamond Honda of Glendale Internet Sales Manager, allegedly collided with another salesperson when he realized Honda had dropped off a shipment of 2011 Honda Civics.
Mr. Erickson claims he experienced tunnel vision when spotting the 2011 Honda Civic parked next to the 2010 model. He hadn’t realized another salesman was standing there.
Witnesses describe the scene as reminiscent of Heisman Trophy-winning running back Herschel Walker, sprinting towards a touchdown.
The salesman Mr. Erickson collided with was not injured in the incident, but for a bruised ego. He has asked to remain anonymous, for reasons unclear to this reporter.
Upon encountering the 2011 Honda Civic, Mr. Erickson made the following video clip.
In his defense, Mr. Erickson accused his supervisor of not knowing Honda recently received the Polk Automotive Loyalty Award. Mr Erickson stated,
Honda has the highest owner loyalty of any brand. Now, imagine what it’s like working around them every day?
